FEEL THE WIND
Ever since my nephew was about two years old, I’d always tell him at random moments to stop, stretch out his arms and feel the wind. I told him, “You got to learn to take in the moments, buddy.” When he was 4, he was playing Little League. Once he got to second base, he jumped up and down on the base. Then, on his own, he stretched out his arms to feel the wind. Proud aunt moment.
This image is less about baseball and more about capturing the lesson: We all need to stop and take in moments. Life is richer and we look around and listen a little better when we do.
The text reads "Feel the Wind"
“Light is sweet, and it is pleasant for the eyes to see the sun. So if a person lives many years, let him rejoice in them all; but let him remember that the days of darkness will be many. All that comes is vanity. Rejoice, O young man, in your youth, and let your heart cheer you in the days of your youth. Walk in the ways of your heart and the sight of your eyes. But know that for all these things God will bring you into judgment.”
- Ecclesiastes 11:7-9
